Food hampers are provided when a need has been established and individuals meet eligibility criteria.
Food bank is staffed by volunteers, they are not permitted to transport either food hampers or clients in their vehicles.
As our volunteers are valuable to us we ask that you respect the time they are dedicating to our community by being on time to pick up your hamper.
"Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much." - Helen Keller
Community food banks are a testament to the power of unity and compassion. Every contribution, big or small, makes a world of difference to those in need.
Getting a hamper from our community Food Bank is simple. Here’s how to do it:
Step 1:
Give us a call at 403-843-2030 ext. 2 or visit us in-person at the Rimbey FCSS office. Leave your name and phone number, and someone will call you back.
We’ll ask you for some basic information like your name, address, phone number, and how many people are in your household.
Step 2:
Once you're approved and given a pick-up time by our intake workers, head to our Food Bank at the specified time to get your hamper.
Remember to call ahead and book your hamper before picking it up. We're here to help!
Our food bank welcomes everyone from different walks of life. This includes families with children, hardworking individuals whose wages don't stretch far enough, folks on social assistance, and Canadians on a fixed income like seniors and people with disabilities.
If you’re looking to help, donations of food or money can be brought to the Rimbey FCSS office in the Provincial Building during office hours.
You might even be eligible for a tax receipt!
Together, we can support our community and make a real difference.
