Rainbows is a program which assists children coping with a significant loss in their lives, such as parental separation or divorce, death or another painful loss. This program provides a safe, non-judgmental environment for participants to work through their feelings about their loss and to develop coping skills. This program is offered by FCSS.
Rainbows groups have been well received and participants continue to benefit from sharing and learning from one another's loss experiences.
Trained facilitators are available in the Rimbey FCSS Rainbows Program. While often delivered in the school setting; this is a community program that is available to all children. Age appropriate settings are offered.
Contact the FCSS or the Family School Liaison worker for more information or to check when the next program will be offered.
